Sex Educator of the Week: Alison Bellavance, M.Ed, CSE

What project in sex ed are you currently working on?
My current passion is working to bring together the fields of sexuality education and sexual violence prevention. I provide professional trainings around the intersection of healthy sexuality and sexual violence prevention for organizations in both arenas. This summer I will present on this topic at the National Sexual Assault Conference.

Alison Bellavance, M.Ed., CSE is the Senior Director of Education & Training for Planned Parenthood Keystone. With over 10 years experience in sexuality education, Alison has specific expertise in the intersection between healthy sexuality and sexual violence prevention and provided consultation on the National Sexual Violence Resource Center’s 2012 & 2013 SAAM campaigns. At Planned Parenthood, she oversees three LGBTQA youth programs and provides training to schools, parents and community-based organizations on LGBTQ inclusivity. Alison is also an Adjunct Instructor at the Center for Human Sexuality Studies at Widener University.
