Chair of Toronto Catholic District School Board Has a Change of Heart

In the past, Angela Kennedy, chair of the Toronto Catholic District School Board, has fought the implementation of a more comprehensive sex ed curriculum because of her religious beliefs. But since learning of her son’s abuse as a child, she has had a change of heart.

Some Arizona School Districts Are Rethinking Their Sex Ed Curricula

Though sex ed isn’t required in Arizona schools, leading to inconsistencies across the state in how the topic is handled, the Tucson Unified School District board has voted to change its curriculum after being approached by students asking for more comprehensive information. And several other school districts are following suit. Unfortunately, LGBT students still feel left out, in spite of these updates.
