What project in sex ed are you currently working on?

Brandy coordinates GCAPP’s Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month activities which include a statewide adolescent essay contest and parent webinars.  She trains and provides TA to Personal Responsibility Education Program (GAPREP) grantees and Working to Institutionalize Sexuality Education (WISE) partners. She facilitates sexuality education in schools and presents at conferences on facilitation. 

Bio:

Brandyis a Training and TA Coordinator with the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential (GCAPP).  She plans, facilitates, and supports trainings and programs for professionals working with youth in comprehensive sexuality education programs/curricula. She facilitates sexuality education programs with adolescents in KIPP metro-Atlanta public charter schools. Additionally, she coordinates and implements activities for parents to encourage and empower them to be the primary sexuality educators in their children’s’ lives through effective parent-child communication.  She has 10 years of experience working with adolescents and sexuality education in non-profit organizations and public health.  Brandy is passionate not only about her work with youth, but with her work with adults who are entrusted to help guide youth and lead them in a positive and healthy future!  Brandy credits her GCAPP family for her continued professional growth, development, and passion for the work they all provide to youth and families in Georgia.
